Bueil, Jean V de, count of Sancerre

   military figure
   Surnamed the "scourge of the English," Jean V de Bueil, count of sancerre, was a companion in arms to joan of arc and became an admiral of France (1450). He helped in the retaking of Normandy (1450) and Guyenne (1453) and is the author of an autobiographical work, Le Jouvencel.
